The different kinds of TEA and what they do for you.

Tea has been an integral beverage of our culture for centuries. It is a staple beverage to not just the east, but is being consumed all over the world ,today. Even the most loyal coffee lover will not be able to deny the greater benefits of tea and the huge variety it offers.

Here's a list of a few different types of tea that are instrumental in keeping one's mind and body healthy.


OOLONG TEA :

A traditional Chinese tea made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, the same plant used to make green and black tea. It is the more oxidized version of green tea. Oolong tea contains a plethora of vitamins, antioxidants and minerals. this tea is found to be particularly beneficial in regulating blood sugar levels, increase insulin sensitivity with regular consumption.




GREEN TEA :-

The goldmine of all beverages, green tea is packed with antioxidants, vitamins ,minerals and healthy bioactive compounds.Green tea reduces the formation of free radicals in your body, and eliminates the chances of cell damage. The low amount of caffeine in it helps boost brain activity without the usual risk factors of too much caffeine . Often used as a fat burning supplement, it helps in weight loss as well as for flushing out toxins from your body.



WHITE TEA

White tea is the uncured and least processed tea made from Camellia sinensis plant. An abundance of catechins a type of polyphenols is present in it which in turns helps with fighting free radicals. White tea helps relax blood vessels and boosts immunity. It is a great source of fluoride which fights bacteria in teeth. Several studies also show its effectiveness in fighting cancer.



BLACK TEA:-

Black Tea is the most common and readily available type of tea in the market. It also forms the basis for flavoured and instant tea. It's right amount of caffeine helps boost up one's mind. It has a range of antioxidants which help the heart from cardiovascular damage. It also helps in reducing cholesterol levels in one's body.Black tea is a boon to digestive health and a catalyst for our body's immunity.


MARJORAM TEA:-

Marjoram Tea is another variation of tea , it is a herbal tea because it isn't made from the leaves of Camellia sinensis. It may not be considered as a 'true tea' but that does not take away from the taste or the health benefits it provides . Marjoram tea helps with digestive problems , helps in regulating menstrual flow . It also treats a range of other health problems like insomnia ,diabetes , cough and cold , muscle spasms and body ache. If consumed regularly it will promote a better blood circulation and work for your overall health .
