Spaghetti Arrabbiata

Although the name Arrabiata seems difficult to pronounce, it is super easy to make.

I prefer this spicy arrabbiata sauce pasta over any other pasta sauce.

The word arrabbiata sounds fancy! It means "angry" in Italian. So, this red sauce pasta is actually very hot and spicy as compared to other Italian sauces.

The heat comes from crushed BOH chilly flakes simmered in the sauce.



Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • Spaghetti Pasta (wheat pasta) 350 grams

  • Tomatoes, finely chopped 500 grams

  • BOH Basil 4 tbsp

  • Garlic, finely chopped 6

  • BOH Oregano 1 tsp

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2 tbsp

  • BOH Chilly flakes 2 tbsp

  • Sugar 1/2 tsp

  • Salt and Pepper , to taste to taste




Preparation


Step 1

Heat olive oil in a pan on a low or medium flame. Add/ chopped garlic. Sauté for some seconds.

Step 2

Add the chopped tomatoes, BOH Chilly flakes, BOH Basil, sugar, salt. Stir well and cook for 2 minutes.


Step 3

Simultaneously in a pot of boiling salted water, cook spaghetti pasta.

Step 4

Toss sauce through the pasta and simmer uncovered for 5 minutes on medium heat.

Then add BOH Oregano.


Step 5

Serve your pasta and eat like an Italian!
