Bag of Herbs Vegetable Broth

Broth is one of the best comfort foods as it is filled with nutrition. Broth is also light to the tummy, and has great digestive properties along with a great taste.

Vegetable Broth

Preparation time 10 minutes

Cooking time 40 minutes

Serves 5


1. BOH Oregano ¼ teaspoon

2. BOH Basil ¼ teaspoon

3. BOH Thyme ¼ teaspoon

4. BOH Parsley ¼ teaspoon

5. Salt To taste

6. Crushed black pepper ¼ teaspoon

7. Water 8 cups

8. Bay leaf 1

9. BOH Garlic Powder ½ teaspoon


1. Chopped onion` ½ cup

2. Broccoli ½ cup

3. Zucchini ½ cup

4. Chopped fresh parsley ¼ cup

5. Chopped celery ½ cup

6. Carrots ½ cup

7. Chopped fresh basil ¼ cup

8. Sweet Corn ½ cup

9. Mushroom ½ cup


Step1: In a pan filled with water, add salt, crushed black pepper, BOH Basil, BOH Thyme, BOH Oregano, BOH Parsley, bay leaf and BOH Garlic Powder. Let is boil for 10 minutes.

Step2: To the boiling water, add all the veggies and chopped fresh parsley and basil. Cook on medium heat for another half an hour.

Step3: Strain the vegetables and pour the broth into a pan. Let is cool to room temperature before serving.

Note: Do not discard the veggies. They can be used in various ways, most easily (i.e. all the veggies being used at once) in Pao Bhaji!
