Bag Of Herbs Red Sauce Pasta

Red Sauce Pasta is also a common name for various pastas made in red sauce. However, the most commonly cooked red sauce pasta is the Arrabbiata Sauce Pasta (however, here, we are cooking it without the wine!).

Red Sauce Pasta


Preparation time 8 minutes

Cooking time 10 minutes

Serves 2

Ingredients

For the Sauce:

1. Tomatoes 5

2. Chopped onions ½ cup

3. BOH Garlic Powder ½ teaspoon

4. BOH Onion Powder ¼ teaspoon

5. BOH Oregano Seasoning ¼ teaspoon

6. BOH Basil ¼ teaspoon

7. BOH Chilly Flakes ¼ teaspoon

8. Salt To taste

9. Crushed black pepper ¼ teaspoon


For the Veggies:

1. Oil 1 tablespoon

2. Large diced onion ½ cup

3. Broccoli ½ cup

4. Red Capsicum (Bell Pepper) ½ cup

5. Green Capsicum ½ cup

6. Boiled Sweet Corn ½ cup

7. Mushroom ½ cup

8. Carrots ½ cup

9. Green onions ½ cup

10. Black Olives ¼ cup


For Pasta:

1. Olive oil 1 tablespoon

2. Salt ½ teaspoon

3. Pasta 150 gms

4. Water 4 cups

5. BOH Oregano To Taste

Preparation

Step1: In a pan filled with water, add 150 gms of pasta (preferably penne), 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon of salt. Now boil the pasta till it is only a little firm, and not completely soft. Once the pasta boils, strain it and keep it aside.


Step2: In another pan, heat some oil, and sauté the onion, and add carrots, green onions, mushrooms and green capsicum, and heat till the onions are medium brown. Keep aside.


Step3: Take 5 tomatoes and make 2-4 cuts on each tomato. In a pan, boil the tomatoes. Take the tomatoes out, peel them and mix them in a mixer-grinder, to form a smooth puree.


Step4: In a fresh pan, saute some onion in olive oil. Add BOH Onion Powder and BOH Garlic Powder. Add the tomato puree once the onions are golden brown. Add chopped carrots and mix. Add BOH Chilly Flakes, BOH Basil and BOH Oregano Seasoning. Let the soupy mixture cook for 5 minutes over medium flame. Sprinkle the crushed black pepper and salt.


Step5: Add the sautéed vegetables and stir. Add the olives and sweet corn. Finally, add the pasta.


Step5: Sprinkle some BOH Oregano and grated cheese. Serve it hot in a bone China dish.
