Bag of Herbs Quinoa Pulao

Quinoa Pulao is one of the tastiest pulaos you'll ever taste, and to no surprise, it's the healthiest (even brown rice pulao cannot beat Quinoa pulao in nutritional value) pulao, and what more, it's 'gluten free'!

Serves 2


For Boiled Quinoa:

1. BOH Quinoa 100 gms

2. Water 3 cups

For the Pulao:

1. Black Cardamom 1

2. Clove 1

3. Green Cardamom 1

4. Cinnamon 1 stick

5. Chopped Capsicum ½ cup

6. Boiled Sweet Corn ½ cup

7. Mushroom ½ cup

8. Garlic 3 cloves

9. Onion ½ cup

10. Carrot ¼ cup

11. Beans ¼ cup

12. Crushed Black Pepper 1 teaspoon

13. BOH Chilly Flakes 1 teaspoon

14. BOH Basil 1 teaspoon

15. Olive Oil 2 tablespoon

16. Butter 1 tablespoon

17. Salt To taste

18. Green Peas ½ cup

19. Water 200 ml


Step1: Rinse BOH Quinoa and keep it in a pan filled with water for 30 minutes. In another soak the beans and carrots in water for 30 minutes.

Step2: Roast the cloves, black and green cardamom and cinnamon in the olive oil. Add the garlic and sauté till golden and then add onion, and sauté until golden brown. Add the rest of the veggies (including the soaked beans and carrots).

Step3: Strain the BOH Quinoa and add it to the roasted veggies and roast it for 5 minutes after adding the butter. Add BOH Chilly Flakes and BOH Basil, salt and crushed black pepper and add the water. Cover the pan and let it cook for another 20 minutes on medium flame. Let the water evaporate.

Step4: Garnish the cooked Quinoa Pulao with some BOH Basil and serve hot!
